چکیده

In 1985, Mader conjectured the existence of a function f such that every digraph with minimum out-degree at least f(k) contains a subdivision of the transitive tournament of order k. This conjecture is still completely open, as the existence of f(5) remains unknown. In this paper, we show that if D is an oriented path, or an in-arborescence (i.e., a tree with all edges oriented towards the root) or the union of two directed paths from x to y and a directed path from y to x, then every digraph with minimum out-degree large enough contains a subdivision of D. Additionally, we study Mader’s conjecture considering another graph parameter. The dichromatic number of a digraph D is the smallest integer k such that D can be partitioned into k acyclic subdigraphs. We show that any digraph with dichromatic number greater than 4(n− 1) contains every digraph with n vertices and m arcs as a subdivision.

List coloring digraphs

The dichromatic number ~ χ(D) of a digraph D is the least number k such that the vertex set of D can be partitioned into k parts each of which induces an acyclic subdigraph. Introduced by Neumann-Lara in 1982, this digraph invariant shares many properties with the usual chromatic number of graphs and can be seen as the natural analog of the graph chromatic number. In this paper, we study the li...

Sufficient conditions on the zeroth-order general Randic index for maximally edge-connected digraphs

Let D be a digraph with vertex set V(D) .For vertex v V(D), the degree of v, denoted by d(v), is defined as the minimum value if its out-degree  and its in-degree . Now let D be a digraph with minimum degree  and edge-connectivity If  is real number, then the zeroth-order general Randic index is defined by   .  A digraph is maximally edge-connected if . In this paper we present sufficient condi...

On kernel-perfect critical digraphs

In this paper we investigate new sufficient conditions for a digraph to be kernel-perfect (KP) and some structural properties of kernel-perfect critical (KPC) digraphs. In particular, it is proved that the asymmetrical part of any KPC digraph is strongly connected. A new method to construct KPC digraphs is developed. The existence of KP and KPC digraphs with arbitrarily large dichromatic number...

Dichromatic number, circulant tournaments and Zykov sums of digraphs

The dichromatic number dc(D) of a digraph D is the smallest number of colours needed to colour the vertices of D so that no monochromatic directed cycle is created. In this paper the problem of computing the dichromatic number of a Zykov-sum of digraphs over a digraph D is reduced to that of computing a multicovering number of an hypergraph H1(D) associated to D in a natural way. This result al...
